Tiger and Cub: Unveiling our new AI Clusters
The first phase of the Wellcome Sanger Institute's AI4Science strategy is well underway with the release of our new clusters for accelerated AI computing.
The Cub platform is a small-scale platform targeting research and development applications, including interactive workflows, benchmarking, and providing a platform for users new to the world of AI to learn how to use the technology.
The Tiger platform is a tailored, large scale cluster for running intensive production workflows for inference and heavy training requiring parallel access to multiple GPU hosts.
The two cabinets are shown below, with artwork by the Sanger's graphics design team. The art was created by artists and not generated with AI image-generating products.
